The Ride Experience
US 129, bordered by the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cherokee National Forest, is a legend. With 318 curves packed into just 11 miles, there is no intersecting road, no driveway, and no room for error.
This is a highly technical, physically demanding stretch of pavement. It requires absolute focus as you transition immediately from one lean angle to the next. The road is heavily cambered, tight, and completely unforgiving.
While it's a couple of hours from Asheville, it's a bucket-list destination for riders worldwide. Ride it to say you did, grab a photo at Deals Gap, and respect the road.

- Stay in Your Lane: The number one cause of accidents here is crossing the double yellow line. Do not cut the corners.
- Ride Your Own Pace: Ignore the sportbikes trying to set lap times. Use the pull-offs to let faster traffic pass safely.
- Look Through the Turn: Target fixation is dangerous here. Keep your eyes up and looking where you want to go.
