    The Ride Experience

Riding the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) is a bucket-list experience for any motorcyclist. Starting right here in Asheville, you have immediate access to some of the most spectacular sections of this 469-mile ribbon of asphalt.

The Parkway was designed specifically for scenic cruising. You won't find stop signs, traffic lights, or commercial vehicles here. What you will find are perfectly banked, sweeping curves that flow seamlessly from one to the next, carving through the ancient Appalachian Mountains.

Heading south from Asheville towards Cherokee brings you to the highest elevations on the entire route, including the breathtaking Waterrock Knob and the Linn Cove Viaduct. The air gets cooler, the views get wider, and the riding gets even better.

    Expert Rider Tips

    • Speed Limit is 45 MPH: It is strictly enforced by Federal Park Rangers. Enjoy the flow, don't rush it.
    • Watch for Wildlife: Deer, wild turkeys, and occasionally bears cross the road frequently, especially near dawn and dusk.
    • Plan Your Gas Stops: There are no gas stations directly on the Parkway. You must exit onto state highways to refuel.
    • Weather Changes Fast: Elevation changes mean temperatures can drop 10-15 degrees quickly. Bring layers.
